Looking for things to do this weekend in Port Perry? This guide covers Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11, 2026, the Thanksgiving weekend in town, with real, verified events in Port Perry and Scugog: the final Saturday of the lakefront farmers' market season, a BIA fall market on Queen Street, Pumpkin Palooza at Willowtree Farm, and Fall Fun on the Farm at Applewood Farm & Winery just north of town.

Details were checked against township, BIA and venue listings on October 7, 2026. Hours and availability can change, so confirm with the organizers before you head out.

Friday, October 9: the corn maze opens the long weekend

The weekend’s big-ticket outing is Fall Fun on the Farm at Applewood Farm & Winery, 2055 Saintfield Road in Seagrave, just north of Port Perry. The township’s fall calendar lists the event Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry 4 p.m.), with a 40-acre corn maze, a pick-your-own pumpkin and squash patch, weekend wagon rides, farm animals, a sunflower walk and a licensed patio with cider and wine. Confirm the day’s hours on the farm’s Fall Fun on the Farm page before you load the car.

Friday night stays in town. Dinner on Queen Street: Marwan’s Global Bistro at 187 Queen Street, Saffron Eatery for a quick, flavourful meal, or the Piano Cafe and George Stanley Inn at 217 Queen Street for a calmer seat. Our guide to the best restaurants in Port Perry has the full rundown of the main-street eating strip. Old Flame Brewing Co. at 135 Perry Street runs its Friday pop-up kitchen with live music in the taproom; see the brewery’s experiences page for the night’s lineup.

Saturday, October 10: the market’s final Saturday, pumpkins and a BIA fall market

Saturday starts at the water. The Port Perry Lakefront Farmers’ Market runs 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 081 Water Street, at the foot of Queen Street on Lake Scugog, and this is the final Saturday of the 2026 season (the market opened in May and closes for the year after October 10). It is the last chance this year for the full harvest lineup: seasonal produce, baking, meats, cheese and handcrafts, with the grain elevator rising behind the stalls. The market’s official site posts each week’s vendors.

A few steps up the main street, the Port Perry BIA’s Fall Market at Bonita Clothing Co. runs 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 199 Queen Street, one of the feature events on the BIA’s fall calendar. The Port Perry BIA events page posts the day’s details, and it pairs naturally with a slow walk of the shops: Meta4 Contemporary Craft Gallery at 200 Queen Street, Port Perry’s Vintage Market in the old train-station building at 1894 Scugog Street, and a coffee stop at Nexus Coffee Co. or That Place on Queen.

Then the pumpkins. Pumpkin Palooza at Willowtree Farm, 975 Durham Regional Road 21, runs Saturday and Sunday (and Thanksgiving Monday) from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with last entry at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 online and $15 on-site for ages 2 and up, and cover the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, the straw jump, mini pumpkin games, the mini corn maze and family games. Book ahead on the farm’s Pumpkin Palooza page, and read our Willowtree Farm Community Spotlight for the full story on the farm market, cafe and butcher shop.

Back in town, Old Flame Brewing Co. hosts Saturday afternoon live music from 1 to 5 p.m. at 135 Perry Street, pouring traditional German-style lagers inside the 1874 Ontario Carriage Works building. The taproom is open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. per the brewery’s site, and our Old Flame Community Spotlight explains why the beer garden is a town favourite.

Sunday, October 11: farms again, a lakeside walk and the feast ahead

Sunday is a second farm day if the kids (or the pumpkins) demand it. Pumpkin Palooza at Willowtree Farm runs again 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fall Fun on the Farm at Applewood is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are hosting Thanksgiving, the farm market and butcher shop at Willowtree are a good stop for local produce, baking and meat for the table; check the farm’s site for Sunday hours before you go.

If the weather holds, save an hour for the water. Palmer Park, Kinsman Beach and the 5 km Waterfront Trail System along Lake Scugog are all a short walk from downtown, with the 1873 grain elevator and open water at the end of Queen Street. Old Flame’s taproom is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a quiet end to the day.

And the long weekend stretches one day further: Monday, October 12, is Thanksgiving in Canada. Both farms open Monday too, Applewood from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last entry 3 p.m.) and Willowtree’s Pumpkin Palooza again from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., an easy plan for families staying over. The farmers’ market, this year’s last one having come and gone, returns in May.

That is the weekend in Port Perry: a corn maze on the farm, the market’s final Saturday beside the lake, pumpkins, brewery music and a quiet waterfront before the feast. We’ll see you in town.
